Building a successful startup isn’t just about having a great idea—it’s about validating that idea, adapting to market needs, and executing with precision. Too often, founders dive into development without fully testing their assumptions, leading to wasted resources and missed opportunities. That’s where the Launch Program by imec.istart comes in.
We’ve left 2024 well behind us. Needless to say, it was a challenging year in many regards. Socio-economic and political turbulence has caused uncertainty at many levels of society. They could be many reasons to be pessimistic about the future, but I am by nature an optimist. And in the Belgian and European startup ecosystem, there are plenty of reasons to feel optimistic about 2025 and the years ahead.
We are thrilled to announce a major milestone: the startups we have supported since the launch of our program have collectively raised over €1 billion in follow-up funding. This milestone shows what’s possible when promising ideas meet the right support to spark innovation.
