New blood incoming! Let’s welcome six startups ready to shake things up. With access to funding, technology, expert mentorship, and a close-knit network that feels like family, these tech trailblazers are primed to turn bold ideas into reality. Let’s see what they’ll make happen!
This Autumn 2024 imec.istart cohort highlights some fascinating trends:
Industry-specific expertise in founding teams: many teams, like Finvictum, NXGSAT, and WUK, are led by founders who previously worked together within the same industries, bringing deep, relevant expertise that gives them a head start in tackling specific market challenges.
Belgium-based with global reach: while all startups are based in Belgium, several have international co-founders, such as Disso and NXGSAT, reflecting a global perspective and a readiness to scale across borders.
Disruptive technology: this cohort features ambitious projects pushing the boundaries of technology—like ReVision, developing neural implants to restore vision for blind individuals. These startups are tackling challenges with the potential for transformative societal impact. We’re excited to see how they’ll shape the future!
DISSO uses advanced AI to catch hidden security threats, such as phishing and email scams, that other systems often miss—keeping your business safer from online attacks.
