Allergy represents a major societal burden, not only because it has a significant impact on a patients'​ life, but also because it can trigger the development of asthma. (Journal of Asthma and Allergy 2017:10 47–56)  Up to 20% of the population worldwide is affected by allergies (aaaai.org). This population will increase due to climate change, pollution and societal changes in hygienic standards. (J Allergy Clin Immunol. 2012 Jan;129(1):27-32) 

It is SNEEZZ'​ ambition to empower allergic individuals suffering from airborne allergies or hay fever through information and scientific insight so they can take control of their lives. SNEEZZ is collaborating with leading engineering companies to develop hard- and software to measure pollen in the air. The ultimate goal is to create an ecosystem in which allergic individuals are given relevant, actionable advice on how to deal with allergic triggers like pollen. 

SNEEZZ was founded in 2017 by Peter Dedrij, Robert Dekker, Kristof Beenders and Leen Limbourg: a passionate and complementary team with background in R&D, technological inventions, health care industry, social media and start-up mentorship.
